Odd Couple Tickets Flying Out the Door

I don’t know whether it is past successful 2nd Act Community Theatre plays or the familiarity of the Odd Couple production, but tickets for this week’s production are selling fast and furious.  The Arts Center has the feeling of a ticketmaster outlet–we no sooner get up those new spiral stairs only to have to run down again to put another name on the list.

The point I’m trying to make…if you want tickets, please get them now.  Food orders need to be placed for dinners and you don’t want to miss out.

I’ve never seen the play but I can remember watching the Odd Couple on TV.  I watched Tony Randall as Felix Unger and Jack Klugman as Oscar Madison but I also remember the movie starring Walter Matthau as Oscar and Jack Lemmon as Felix.  Both were a hoot!

I’m looking forward to seeing the two lead actors Reggie vanBeekom, as the tidy fixated Felix and Ben Rodgers, as the messy, who could care less Oscar. I can’t help but think that I’ll be giggling all the way home.

About Neil Simon: He is an American playwright and screenwriter, considered one of the finest writers of comedy in American literary history. He has written over thirty plays and nearly the same number of movie screenplays, most adapted from his plays.
